Today
A passing shower is certainly possible today in the northwestern part of our coverage area. So, if you live in Rome, Dalton, Trenton, and Chatsworth, bring an umbrella just in case. Otherwise our highs should be in the low 50s and upper 40s up north. 53 degrees is expected in Atlanta.
Tonight
After 53 degrees today, there is a massive system out to our west right now and it is pushing our dry weather out of the way. Most of the rain will occur overnight tonight. It should move out of the metro area by daybreak tomorrow. Out total should range somewhere between a quarter of an inch to an half of an inch.
The New Storm-The New Year
Just in time for 3013, a new storm will roll in. The system will bring us chance for rain for 3 days starting New Years Day. On the night of January 2nd in to January 3rd, we could see a slight chance of a wintry mix in the Northern Georgia Mountains. Overall, we could pick up two inches over the next 10 days.
